HVAC access platform

HSE supplied a freestanding work platform to solve a low level access HVAC issue at a busy superstore. Access was required from both ends of the platform as it sat across the main roof access route. Due to the warm roof make up, the design of the platform had to account for the underlying insulation and provide sufficient load spreading characteristics. This was achieved by the addition of multiple large feet which would spread the load across the underlying insulation and increase grip to the PVC membrane. Designed to BS EN ISO 14122 and fully galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 this component access solution is supplied in kit form and delivered to site on the morning of installation to reduce the installer companies’ time on site. Kit form was essential for the ability to move the parts over the roof. A full appreciation of the tight timelines and access challenges that can arise on sites such as retail premises is a hallmark of our approach in supporting professional installation companies.
