Fixed Ladder

This ladder was designed to BS 4211 and galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 to replace an existing non compliant ladder. The ladder had to fix to the existing structural posts required to design and supply of a bespoke bracket to prevent the creation of additional penetrations. An extended platform was supplied to allow access over the large gutter and allow access to a flexible anchor line at a point of reduced risk from falls. Due to the nature of the warm roof arrangement, we supplied large feet to spread the vertical loads over the underlying insulation. The client’s brief included limiting access to the upper roof so we supplied a ladder guard plate with combination padlock. Due to the challenging install position behind existing ducting & HVAC equipment it was supplied in full kit form. This reduced the manual handling requirements and the need for prohibitive costs associated with long reach craneage.
